Every AXUM piece begins with a thought. A silhouette, a memory, an architectural detail or a fragment of Ethiopian heritage becomes the first point of departure.

Lines are tested before materials are touched. Proportion, rhythm and negative space are refined until the drawing begins to resemble the object imagined.
